Ignite Compassion

What would it look like if the entire Church body were to “be compassionate, just as God is compassionate” (Luke 6:36)? What would our world look like if kindness overran pride? What if bitterness was exchanged for forgiveness? What would our own lives look like if we let God heal our wounds so that we can genuinely show His great loving-kindness to the people around us?

Ignite Compassion

September 2019-August 2020, Walnut Hill is focusing on our Ignite Compassion initiative, where we commit to igniting compassion so that the world experiences the tangible love and hope of Jesus.

With every kind of brokenness imaginable happening in the world around us, we believe that the church, wholeheartedly living out the love of Jesus, is the answer to our hurting world. A tree is known by its fruit: We want to be known as those who genuinely care for others by offering the hope and love of Jesus through our words and actions.

As we Ignite Compassion this year, we will learn what it means to extend compassion to ourselves, our family and friends, our community, and our world.
